About me
I’m Šárka, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga facilitator originally from Czechia, now based in Israel. With over 15 years of experience in yoga and meditation, combined with an academic background in psychology, I am passionate about supporting mental health and holistic well-being through somatic practices.
My work integrates approaches like Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Somatic Coaching, and Yoga Therapy, helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and the lingering effects of trauma. At the heart of my practice is a trauma-informed and mindful approach that invites a safe, empowering reconnection to your body, breath, and emotions. I am also in the final stages of completing my training in Trauma-Sensitive Somatic Coaching, expanding the ways I can support you on your journey.
I am committed to holding a compassionate space where you can process challenges, rediscover your inner wisdom, and cultivate the balance and resilience needed to embrace your authentic path. Together, we can explore what it means to move through life with greater awareness, clarity, and self-compassion.
“The body remembers, the bones remember, the joints remember, even the little finger remembers. Memory is lodged in pictures and feelings in the cells themselves.”
– Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run with the Wolves
The Wildflower Journey
I remember myself as a curious, lively—though perhaps slightly insecure—child who loved spending time outdoors, running free.
I couldn’t quite understand why school required sitting still for so many hours. I complied, though, and years later found myself completing a Ph.D. while working full-time in child protection. Yet, my body began to whisper that this way of life was unsustainable—or perhaps not truly mine.
Yoga, a practice I had embraced since my twenties, became my anchor amid the demands of work and personal challenges. One day, I decided to listen to that inner voice. I left the security of my job in Prague, set out to explore the world, and deepened my studies of yoga in Vancouver, Canada. That courageous choice transformed my life, turning my passion into my profession.
While I hold some criticism of the modern yoga world—its tendency to sometimes confuse yoga practice with rigid, bootcamp-style routines, its often superficial portrayal on social media, and the power dynamics entrenched in some lineages—I remain deeply connected to the true essence of yoga, mindfulness, and their therapeutic potential. To me, this essence aligns seamlessly with the core of somatics: a curious, open, and compassionate exploration of our inner landscapes, guided by the innate wisdom of the body.
Listening to our soma—our experiential body—and understanding its messages is a skill many of us need to rediscover. For some, this disconnection stems from past trauma, for others, it arises from internalizing societal norms. If this feels like a missing piece in your healing and growth, somatics could be your path—your medicine. Over the past decade of diving deep into somatic practices, I’ve come to see the wildflower as a powerful metaphor for the values I strive to embody and inspire in my clients: grounded yet open, resilient yet gentle, thriving in authenticity, freedom, and innate wisdom.
If you feel a calling to embark on your personal "Wildflower Journey"—a path of self-discovery inspired by the resilience and natural unfolding of wildflowers, I am here. Together, we will create a space where you can reconnect with your body, mind, and emotions in a way that feels safe, empowering, and authentic. This journey isn’t about fixing you or striving for perfection—it’s about honoring your individuality, embracing your pace, and cultivating the inner strength to thrive. You’ll learn to trust your body’s wisdom and unfold into a life of greater ease, presence, and vitality—one step, one breath, one bloom at a time.
